Shel Harrington is one of the wittiest authors, word inventors I have ever read. Her book, Over 50, Defined: Words just for us that aren’t in the dictionary…YET! covers words for common things people over 50 often do that leave them scratching their heads. She dubs her invented words “Quinbloits,” apt, descriptive terms you won’t find in the dictionary (YET!).
I laughed so hard reading Over 50 and kept tracking down different family members insisting they listen as I read the definitions.
The illustrations are on target and add to the enjoyment of the book.

I defy anyone to read Over 50, Defined: Words just for us that aren’t in the dictionary…YET! and not laugh, not to mention recognize yourself in a couple of the definitions. Over 50 is one of the funniest spot-on books, about common occurrences that confuse and amuse you that I have read.
I could surely use a good laugh and um definitely over 50 so…buying it now! Thanks RobbyeFaye for another good post and review. 🌷

I definitely want to look into this book. By your description alone, it reminds me of Erma Bombeck (or am I going back too far by using her name?)
