I have been reading one chapter of Proverbs per day for years, so imagine my surprise and delight when I discovered a book with practical management guidelines using Proverbs as the advice to follow.
The Proverbs Management Handbook by John A. Guderian is presented in a practical, easy to read format. Most of the information presented was helpful and insightful, drawing on his own personal experiences.
Guderian uses four different translations of the Bible to illustrate salient points. Each chapter and the details within are common sense and easy to apply. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get bogged down in the whole “can’t see the forest for the trees” mentality, and this book aided in many ways to clear the forest, as it were.
The chapters don’t have to be read in order to glean effective information. It’s not only for business managers either. Homemakers, students and just about anyone else can reap benefits from reading it.
Overall, I appreciated the practical advice and Biblical references used throughout. I think I would have preferred only one or two translations, though.
I received a copy of the book from BookCrash. However, I was under no obligation to post a review.
