We had a horrible storm roll through a few days ago. Winds over 70 miles an hour!
We lost cable and as a result TV, internet and telephone were out too. We were fortunate and did not lose electricity like more than 200,000 others did.
We had siding knocked off the house, the front porch columns moved back about 6 inches and a leak in the ceiling, along with tons of tree branches in the yard.
Where oldest daughter lives and works, about 20 miles away, lots of homes were damaged along with trees and power lines down.
Electricity out at my Dad’s, my great Aunt’s house had it’s roof sheared off and lots of trees down. Dad’s next door neighbor lost large portions of their metal roof and 2 doors down a tree fell on their house.
Overall the surrounding area had horrific damage from excessively high winds but no reports of tornadoes. It’s scary driving around town!
Thankfully there were no deaths (that I’m aware of) reported, despite horrendous damage.
